Dr Shruti Mittal completed her graduation from Maharashtra University of Health Sciences.
Following this she did her residency program in Ophthalmology for 3 years from the prestigious Sankara Nethralaya, Chennai.
She then did her fellowship training in Pediatric ophthalmology, strabismus, and neuro ophthalmology, from Sankara Nethralaya for a duration of 1.5 years.
She was then appointed as faculty at the same institute, where she continued to provide services for 5 years as a Consultant.
She has an overall experience of 10 years in this field, during which she handled complex squint procedures and other Pediatric eye disorders.
Her area of interest is adult and Pediatric squint surgery, nystagmus management and Pediatric cataract surgery.
Dr Shruti Mittal has trained extensively in the field of Pediatric ophthalmology, Strabismus and Neuro Ophthalmology from some of the best institutes in India.
She is also a trained cataract surgeon and was closely involved in fellowship and postgraduate training at Sankara Nethralaya. She now practices in Mumbai & Thane, while she visits other eye hospitals in the city as a specialist in her field.
She has been awarded Fellowship of Royal college of Physicians and Surgeons, Glasgow.
She has co-authored papers in various peer reviewed journals and book chapters.
She is academically oriented and has delivered lectures and presented papers at various national and international conferences .
